The GP After Hours Service is open from 6 pm through to 8 am week nights and all day on Weekends and Public Holidays.  You do not need an appointment, you simply  turn up at the Wairau Hospital Emergency Department. There are no charges for accidents. GP related problems do incur a fee.

If you would like to discuss your problem with the oncall  nurse, call 0800 33 66 26.  This is a new service and is available 24 hrs a day.
