What does it involve?
A complete skin check involves checking every mole and skin spot from "head to toe" with a specialised skin microscope (dermoscope).
This reveals features inside the skin which are not visible to the naked eye. Any unusual moles or skin lesions are digitally recorded for further analysis. A complete skin check also involves mapping of your moles; that is, digitally recording the position, shape and colour of your moles.
High-risk areas are recorded (generally the back, legs and face). It can help to determine if you have developed new moles or if moles have changed since the previous visit.
